Orange County separated from Los Angeles County in 1889. While most of its namesake, orange groves, no longer remain in the county, there are still some places left. These small groves are mostly near San Juan Capistrano. Orange County today, however, is more known for places like Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm. Of all the counties in Southern California, it is the most developed with only the more rugged terrain of the San Joaquin Hills and Santa Ana Mountains being undeveloped.
