The original alignment of the old highway continues on this road. After turning onto Gorman Post Road, this is visible to the right and behind. Much of the alignment of this road is the same as the Ridge Route. Once again, those telltale cracks in the asphalt show the original alignment. This concrete is from 1923, having been laid on top of the original 1917 concrete which was 15 feet wide. This was bypassed in 1967 by the current alignment of State 138 to the south.
