Scenic Drives – Angeles Forest Hwy

la-n3
Angeles Forest Highway

Runs from Angeles Crest Highway (State 2) at Clear Creek Saddle to Sierra Highway (old US 6) in Soledad Pass

This road was completed in 1941 and is a popular commuting route for those living in the western Mojave Desert. Many use this as a scenic alternative between Pasadena / La Canada and Palmdale instead of taking State 14 (Antelope Valley Freeway). Angeles Forest Highway also offers connections to Littlerock, Acton, Chilao Flat via Upper Big Tujunga Canyon Road and lower Angeles Crest Highway.
