US 466 – Edison

US 466
Edison

Central Edison looking west along the original alignment.

At Edison, the highway has remained relatively untouched since US highway days, with the exception of a small shift in the alignment through town. In the 1930’s, Edison Highway was shifted about 100′ to the south away from the railroad tracks. A portion of the old paving still exists today. Edison was bypassed by the current freeway in 1970, with the previous west end located at Tower Line Road.
