At Hinkley Road and Old Bakersfield Highway.
New State 58 freeway bypassing Hinkley.

Hinkley is a small community west of Barstow. It was made famous (or infamous) in the 2000 movie “Erin Brockovich” regarding water pollution caused by a PG&E gas pipeline station. Hinkley was also recently bypassed by a freeway in late 2017.
