US 6 – Mojave: South

This is the northern end of the Antelope Valley Freeway and the last freeway old US 6 will see until I-15 in Utah. The freeway was extended here from Rosamond in 1972. North of this point until Mojave, former US 6 is buried beneath the northbound lanes of the State 14 expressway.
