Here, modern US 6 makes its second 90 degree bend heading out of Bishop. Laws was a former railroad station along the Carson and Colorado Railroad. Today, the Laws Railroad Museum is all that exists. Laws was also bypassed in 1935 with the original route following Silver Canyon Road, Joe Smith Road, and Jean Blanc Road.
