San Diego Vintage Trolley

The San Diego Vintage Trolley is a fairly new addition to San Diego. The cars date back to the 1940’s and have been restored to running condition. So far, only one car, #529, is running out on the “loop” as it is called. The loop runs around downtown San Diego, starting at the 12th Ave and Imperial Ave station. It runs Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Weekends. A couple of major modifications have been made to the cars in order to have them operable on the San Diego Trolley tracks. A pantograph was added as the overhead wires are not compatible with trolley poles. An LED sign was also added instead of the standard roll sign.
