Amtrak in San Diego

Amtrak is the main intercity service from Los Angeles to San Diego. The LOSSAN corridor is also the nation’s busiest rail corridor outside of the Northeast Corridor. Originally known as the San Diegan, the Amtrak train is now known as the Pacific Surfliner. This name stems from the “Surf Line” name for the tracks south of Fullerton Junction.
