Salt Springs Area

The Salt Springs area is along State 190 south of the Salt Creek turnoff. This area tends to be wet more often than not. The springs emanate from the base of the alluvial apron which drains the Funeral Mountains. The playa at Salt Springs is also quite rich in borate minerals.
