Georgia Street Bridge

Built: 1914

Type: Three Hinge Concrete Open-Spandrel Arch

Length: 69 feet

Crosses University Avenue. Built to allow the San Diego Electric Railway to pass through the hill that Georgia Street runs along. This is the second span here, the first was wooden. This bridge was restored to its original glory in the late 2010’s. The roadway was also lowered to increase clearance at the bridge.
