Runs from I-10 near Whitewater to the Arizona State Line at Earp, CA.

Highway 62 goes from a busy four-lane expressway to a fairly remote two-lane road. The section from Twentynine Palms east is a fairly new addition to the State Highway system as it was added in the mid 1960’s. The road is four lanes from I-10 to Twentynine Palms as well. State 62 is also the main access to Joshua Tree National Park.
