Virtual Tour of the Ridge Route
Ridge Route – National Forest Inn
The National Forest Inn was one of the many garages along this old route. This one was built in the early 1920’s. It was a clapboard structure that was once described as “the sort of gas station that gets into the national forest and is no addition thereto”. All that remains of this place are the steps and pads that are shown in the photo above. There was also a small reservoir to the east built during the construction of the Ridge Route.
