2nd Street
Built: 1920
Location: 2nd St between Hill St and Figueroa St
A popular location for movies, this tunnel is four lanes wide. Both ends have been modified, with the eastern end retaining its original concrete entrance. The western end near Figueroa St has been extended for a building on Bunker Hill.
3rd Street
Built: 1901
Location: 3rd St between Hill St and Flower St
The oldest of the two remaining tunnels, it was first opened in 1901. Much like the 2nd Street Tunnel, it has been modified quite heavily since construction. Both ends have been lengthened with a cover and the middle has been modified as well for Grand Avenue.
Arroyo Seco Parkway Tunnels
Built: 1931 and 1936
Location: Arroyo Seco Parkway between Bishops Road (Stadium Way) and the Los Angeles River
Originally built as an extension of Figueroa St, these tunnels now serve as the northbound lanes of the Arroyo Seco Parkway (State 110). These tunnels are accessible as well via various Elysian Park trails and the Arroyo Seco Parkway Walkway.
