US 99 – Delano UP

1931 Delano UP, looking north

South of Delano, US 99 crossed the Southern Pacific Railroad again. The original crossing, at 1st Ave and Glenwood St, is still mostly visible, though realigned. In 1931, US 99 was realigned to follow High St to a new underpass which also remains today. Original wooden railing from the 1930’s is also still prevalent here.
