The railroads in northern Los Angeles County have played an important role in the development of the City of Los Angeles. The Southern Pacific Railroad built their line through this area in the 1870’s connecting Southern California to the Transcontinental Railroad. This spurred development in the area and forever changed the face of the State. This site will cover some of those historic locations as well as the more scenic areas along the lines.
