Amusement Parks of Southern California

Our region is home to some of the best and most famous amusement and theme parks in the nation. The concept of a theme park itself originated in Southern California at what is now Knott’s Berry Farm in Buena Park. Walt Disney even got some of his ideas for Disneyland from Knott’s. Parks such as Six Flags Magic Mountain in Santa Clarita are home to some of the most thrilling rollercoasters in the US. These pages will initially give basic information about each park and what the highlights are. In time, they may also include tips and tricks for getting the most out of your visit. Parks on this list have either a rollercoaster or flat ride. Parks or facilities without are not included. Water Parks are not included in this listing at this time. For official park information, always contact the park directly or visit their website.
