Venice Blvd is one of the major roadways in the West Los Angeles area. It runs diagonally across the grid, following a former Pacific Electric Railway route, the Venice Short Line. Until recently, it was an unsigned State Highway. Now it is signed from I-10 and along the roadway itself to I-405. The exit signs on I-10 have been updated to reflect this change, though the signs along I-405 have not. At Robertson Blvd, Venice Blvd is crossed by the Los Angeles Metro Expo Line via a long viaduct.
