Highway 75 follows a mostly scenic route around San Diego Bay. Running along the Silver Strand, a strip of land connecting Imperial Beach with Coronado, the highway gets its Scenic Route designation. This section is also an expressway, with the northbound lanes made of concrete. Highway 75 also has the honor of being the State Highway that crosses the scenic Coronado – San Diego Bay Bridge.
